Who we are
A scientific association for Pakistan's buffalo breeders
The Buffalo Breeders Association Punjab, Pakistan (BBAP) was established in 2009 to promote buffalo breeding, genetic improvement and the socio-economic welfare of buffalo farmers across Punjab.
We bring together breeders, livestock experts, researchers and dairy farmers to conserve and sustainably develop Pakistan's indigenous buffalo breeds, above all the Nili-Ravi.

The association is born
BBAP is founded to promote buffalo breeding, genetic improvement and farmer welfare throughout Punjab.
2011
Formal registration
Registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860, at Kasur, Punjab.
2014
Punjab Breeding Act
The Provincial Assembly enacts a legal framework for breeding, animal identification, breed registration and genetic improvement.

A national and global network
Working with BRI Pattoki, the International Buffalo Federation and the Asian Buffalo Association for Pakistan's livestock and dairy sector.
